Meet Our Expert Team
Coach Liam Rihela
Director of Hitting
Liam is an accomplished baseball player and coach with over 20 years of experience across multiple levels of the game. As a high school player, he played in the PBL, and then went on to play NCAA baseball at Trinity University in Texas, before transferring to Thompson Rivers University in the CCBC.
During his summers, Liam honed his skills with various teams, including the Okotoks Dawgs in 2019, where he helped lead the team to a WCBL championship. Currently, Liam is the head coach of the Kamloops Riverdogs U18 College Prep team and recently led them to their first-ever provincial championship title in 2024.
In addition to his role within KMBA, Liam has returned to the TRU baseball program, where he currently serves as the hitting coach. He also sits on the BC Minor Baseball Association board for High Performance.
COACH jared sucro
Hitting Coach
Jared is a skilled baseball player, who brings over 17 years of experience and a deep passion for the game to his role as a hitting coach. Jared spent his minor baseball career with the Kamloops Riverdogs and the Okanagan Junior A's. About to enter his fifth year of collegiate baseball, he began his college career playing NCAA baseball at Cairn University in Pennsylvania, before transferring to TRU to play for the Wolfpack in the CCBC, recently being named a 2025 CCBC Second Team All-Star.
Beyond the college seasons, Jared also played the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Kamloops NorthPaws in the West Coast League, facing top-tier collegiate talent from across North America. He’s also gained valuable international experience playing against professional teams in Europe for the 2025 The North Baseball team.
In addition to his impressive playing resume, Jared has been the assistant coach of the 18U College Prep Riverdogs for 2 seasons, recently coaching them to their first-ever provincial title in 2024.
